2. Scope and goal of data processing

Accessing and using our website

The website provider automatically collects and stores information that your browser automatically transmits to us in “server log files”. These are:
• Browser type and browser version
• Operating system used
• Referrer URL
• Host name of the accessing computer
• Time of the server request
• IP address
These data will not be combined with data from other sources.

The basis for data processing is Art. 6 paragraph 1 b) GDPR, which allows the processing of data to fulfill a contract or for measures preliminary to a contract.
Collection of the data contained in the server log files is mandatory for access to our web presence. Visiting the website would not be possible without these data.

Log files will be analyzed in anonymous form in order to improve the website and its user friendliness, speed up error diagnostics and adjust server capacity.
For example, data may be used to examine at which times the website generates the most traffic in order to provide sufficient amounts of data volume.
The procession of data in this context is based on Art. 6 paragraph 1 f) GDPR (necessity for the purposes of legitimate interests pursued by the controller, except where such interests are overridden by the interests or fundamental rights and freedoms of the data subject which require protection of personal data).
As website operators, we have a justified interest in providing a fast and responsive internet presence to our visitors.

Once you leave our website, your IP address will be deleted or anonymized.
During the anonymization process, IP addresses are changed in a way that makes it impossible to trace them back to any one identifiable person without considerable amounts of time and effort.

Contact forms

Data sent to us via our contact forms will be stored in order to answer your request or any possible follow-up questions.
With the forms attached to room reservations or the ordering of gift certificates, data is stored per Art. 6 paragraph 1 b) GDPR (processing at the request of the data subject prior to entering into a contract).
General inquiries are handled pursuant to Art. 6 paragraph 1 a) – your explicit consent.
In any case, we will not forward your data to third parties without your permission.

You may revoke your consent at any time. An informal email to our DPC stating this request is sufficient. Any data processing conducted before revocation remains unaffected.

We will retain the data you provide through the contact forms until you request its deletion, revoke your consent for its storage, or the purpose for its storage no longer pertains (e.g. after fulfilling your request). Any statutory provisions, especially those regarding mandatory data retention periods, remain unaffected by this provision.
